The Wrong Dungeon_12.3.25


A bunch of things:

-Cleaned/polished the experience & leveling system some, enemies now give you 8 + (1*the amount of floors you've completed), and completing a floor gives you 80 + (10*the amount of floors you've completed), meaning you'd get 11 experience from an enemy on floor 4, and completing floor 4 would give you 110 experience. I thought since enemies get harder it would only make sense to increase the experience they gave as well. I also added an "Exp + " text that pops up whenever you kill an enemy, and to the floor complete screens.

-I decided to redo how money/gold works, rather than buying equipment with it I made it so equipment is just tied behind your total level. Half of the current equipment is already unlocked from the start, the other 10 pieces get unlocked as you level up to 23. I'm planning on adding more gear eventually so I decided to make the stuff I have now fairly low level. For now my plan is to make gold something that enemies still drop, but is used during the run at a merchant who I'm planning on having appear 50% of the time at the beginning of a floor. This mechanic is probably one I'll put it sometime a bit later though, since I want to implement a boss room still and polish/add a few other things.

-Changed the heart pickup to a potion pickup, I thought it looked much better that way/the heart was a bit unstylistic for the game.

-Add a bit more to the how to play screen, a very small crappy thing I put together for people wanting to try my game that don't play many haha.

Also, after doing a bit of research, the .ini files should be getting saved to your Appdata folder, meaning saves should just automatically update between versions. I also realized that if I needed to I could just make another .ini file, so all the variables I've already added were a bit unnecessary lol.
